Class of 2012 Mainland High School Essay: char to Woman Scholarship As teenagers, more of my peers are non sure what they wishing to do for a career or have plans for later on graduation. It seems that I have known for a long cartridge clip that I would be in one of cardinal crafts. Those two professions are education or nurse and that is because my dad is in pedagogue and my mom is a nurse; so as a result of my parents being in the education and nurse professions, I grew up hearing about both nursing and education. Also, many of my parents friends were either in education or nursing. So, since I grew up in a house with an educator and a nurse, I knew that I treasured to be one or the early(a) (nurse or teacher). It was non until I went to Mainland High School that I decided what I wanted to do after game school and what career I wanted to purse. I had a lot of respect for both professions (education and nursing), but my parents both told me that I needed t o do what I thought I would be happy doing each day as a career, and not decide on a career found on the fact that they were in education and nursing. They encouraged me to look irrelevant of those two fields and make a choice found on what I thought would make me happy. Once at Mainland High School, I entered the sports medicine academy.

After finishing my accepted year in the sports medicine academy and taking well-nigh of the courses for the academy, I knew that I wanted to go into nursing. In the unearned society of Sports Medicine we are required to work fresh events such as football, basketball, soccer, etc., and it was during those times ! of being able to process wound players that I realized that the health care profession was where I matte up beau ideal wanted me to be and where I felt I would be or so happy at.
